- Kim wants to show families that a budget doesn’t have to put a damper on family fun. Some of her tips include:
- Set up a neighborhood scavenger hunt. It will encourage them to work together in teams, with older kids helping out the younger ones. Divide kids into two teams and give each team a big bag and a list of things in your neighborhood, ranging from very easy to difficult to find.
- Have a fun family theme night at home. Get creative with food, activities and game games. Turn off cell phones, televisions, computers and other distractions so you can give loved ones your full attention.
- On a rainy day, built a fort with things you have around the house. Serve lunch and make shadow puppets in the fort.

Fandanglings are lightweight, soft and child Safe. They do not interfere with normal fan use and best of all, no more batteries or winding the mobile.
Review: I was pretty excited when I came across the Fandangling site. My Son really enjoyed his mobile but I remember having to take it off his crib when he started standing up and pulling at it. I decided not to purchase a mobile for my daughter because they all seemed to be expensive and I didn't think I would be able to use it for very long. Some of the cribs out on the market right now make using a mobile impossible but you can use the Fandangling on any fan! Not only does it sell for a great price ($19.95 plus s&h) but it's very versatile and can be used much longer than a traditional mobile.
If you don't have a fan in the little ones room you could install one (it's great for air circulation in the baby's room) or you could use the Fandangling in a play room for some extra fun. The Fandangling comes with easy to follow instructions and extra fasteners so you can use it in more than one room or if you move the Fandangling can easily be put up in a new location. The recommended setting for the fan when using the Fandangling is low; but if you accidentally turn it up you shouldn't have anything flying across the room. As you can see in the picture my daughter was mesmerized by the butterflies flying above her head.
