It's The End of the World as We Know it...

Hypothetical situation: Electrical storms are going to wipe out the Internet (perhaps forever).

...and I don't feel fine.  What will I ever do without the Internet?  I will have to use the telephone instead of instant messenger, twitter or Facebook chat.  I will have to dust off the stationary I got for my Birthday a few years back.  I don't even recall how much stamps are these days, I may have to write another line in the budget just to pay my bills and correspond with my friends.  Then I will have to track down last years Christmas address list since all I have in my address book are emails.

I will spend more money because I won't be able to scour the net for the best deals or printable coupons.  I must learn how to use those little machines at the store that you can print pictures from...no more sending them off to Costco over the Internet!  Family and friends will have to wait days, maybe even weeks for me to go through the process of taking pictures, developing pictures and writing a letter so I can send them the pictures.  Let's not forget the wonderful blogs I read each day, some making me laugh some making me cry.  I will have to leave the laughing and crying up to the kids.


The good news is my family will see a little more of me and a little less of the back of my computer.  My house will be less cluttered as I won't be buying the latest "hot deal" on Amazon or bidding on that one of a kind, something or other on eBay.

I will miss all of you, my Internet friends!
