Fear, we all have it.  In his latest book, Fearless, Mac Lucado helps bring our everyday fears to the surface.  Encouraging readers to live a life full of faith, not fear. A life where trust is in God, and God alone.

Fearless spoke to some of the worries that I have on a daily basis.  It was inspiring to read biblical teachings related to those worries/fears and hope for giving them to God.  Each chapter made me dig deeper into my own life and how I deal with these fears.  Being a Mom of young children the chapter that spoke to me the most was “My Child Is in Danger.” 

There is a discussion guide at the end of the book which helps readers to dive deeper into scripture.  The guide can be utilized as a group or on your own, helping the reader to work through the ideas in the book.   During these times when everything seems to be up in the air with jobs and housing, Fearless will help to bring hope and encouragement to anyone who reads it.

Review: My son will only drink chocolate milk or in his words "chocolate juice."  I was really excited about the opportunity to try and healthier version of his favorite drink.  I didn't know what he would think at first because there is a thicker consistency to Horizon Organic lowfat Chocolate Milk with DHA Omega-3.  I was able to find this milk at my local Target and Kroger grocery store.  The morning after I purchased it when my son asked for "chocolate juice" I put the Horizon milk in his cup.  He loved it!  He must had had 3 glasses that very morning.  We are now on our second half gallon container and he now knows the difference between the Horizon milk container and the regular gallon milk jug.  I would recommend Horizon Organic lowfat Chocolate Milk with DHA Omega-3 to every parent as a healthy drink option for kids!

Review: My son loves to read and he loves music so I knew this would be a great book/CD combination for us to review.  We have had a hard time getting into a bed time routine and the SHUSHYBYE line of products are great to help with the transition from play time to sleep time.  The CD includes a few songs and a reading of Shushybye Sleepover Surprise.  Not only is this a cute story but my son loved the catchy songs.  My husband taught him how to say "Shushybye" and he goes all over the house saying it.

As I write this the CD has been misplaced (happens a lot in our house) and my son is very distraught.  We were able to listen to parts of the songs on the Shushybye website and Amazon.  My husband found the Shushybye Dream Band videos on YouTube, so we have been thoroughly enjoying Shushybye.

When you find a product or food item you like do you let the manufacturer know?  What if you dislike something?  Your opinions can be helpful to companies in creating new products or working out the kinks in the ones they already sell
 
Complimenting: If you have a few minutes I recommend checking out their website and sending a quick email.  Usually there is a short form you can complete pretty quickly.  Most of the time when I tell a manufacturer that I like their product they will respond and let me know they are sending some coupons my way!

When there's a problem: How many times do you get that little survey on the bottom of your receipt?  Usually if you complete the survey you will be rewarded with money off your next purchase or a free appetizer/dessert.  Since I am big on FREE or cheap I usually complete these surveys in my "free time."

I also take the time to write a company if I am not happy with a product or service.  Just recently I had a bad experience at a chain restaurant.  At the bottom of the receipt was an online survey.  I completed the survey but there was nowhere for me to put my contact information.  I wanted to give someone from the restaurant the opportunity to contact me for more information about the situation.  I went to the company's website and found an online comment form where I could leave my contact information.  Within 24 hours I received a phone call from the supervisor who oversees the restaraunt chain in my area.  He was very interested in my experience and sent me 2 $10 off coupons to encourage me to eat at the restaurant again.

Satisfaction Guarantees: When trying to save money I purchase the Kroger brand fruit bars for babies rather than the Gerber.  I found that my son wasn't eating them like he did the other kind.  I realized that they were not as soft as the other kind so I decided to call; maybe I got a bad batch.  I learned that they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee and all I needed to do was take the product and my receipt to customer service and they would issue me a refund.

When you are unsatisfied with a product it will help to have the packaging handy.  There is usually a number that will help the manufacturer know when and where the product was manufactured.

The CVS weekly ad shows Huggies wipe tubs on sale 2/$5 but the refill packs are also ringing up 2/$5!  I read about this deal at A Full Cup and loaded the kids into the car and headed to CVS.  If you receive the Huggies mailers there is a coupon for 50 cents off.  I think this is a great deal even without coupons.  216 wipes for $2.50 or $2.00 is a STOCK UP price, the regular price of one refill pack at CVS is $6.99.

You may want to scan the wipes just to make sure they are included in your sale.  I know I will be headed back later in the week without the kids to pick up some more wipes.

2 Lessons I learned this week

1. Pay closer attention to Product recalls. 
2. Register your products. 

When I first heard about the Graco Stroller recall I looked at the picture and mine didn't look anything like it.  I never gave it a second thought.  When I read about the medicine recall I emptied the cabinets and entered every single product code to see if it was part of the recall.

I received a letter in the mail from Graco Baby that I may have an affected stroller.  When I saw the picture of the hinge in the letter, it looked similar to mine.  I had noticed when using the canopy that it was hard to close.  Thankfully we aren't using the stroller right now as I have a double stroller for the two kids.  Once I entered the model number and manufacturer information at Graco Baby I learned that my stroller was included in the recall and I needed to order a replacement part.  I will do a double check next time I read about a product recall especially one that involved a product my children are using!

I have always been a fan of Medela products and the companies support for nursing mothers.  My Medela breast pump has served me well over the past few years.  When I was having some trouble nursing my son it was a Medela product that helped.  Medela is a well known company with a wonderful reputation for providing quality products.  Just a few months ago when I was in the hospital after having my daughter the breast pump available for use was made by Medela.  The lanolin and hydrogel pads are something every nursing mother should have on hand.  I appreciated that you don't have to wipe off the lanolin before nursing again.  I know when my daughter is hungry she wants to eat right away and knowing that this product is safe for both her and I, is such a relief.  I used the hydrogel pads when I knew I have a little longer between feedings like at night.  You can use the pads for 24 hours; I wasn't sure about the reuse at first.  After nursing my daughter I reapplied the hydrogel pads and they worked just as well as when I took them out of the package.  One thing I noticed about the hydrogel pads is the contoured shape.  They fit much better than other brands of gel pads I have used in the past.  These products are also mess free, the application is easy and the result is a much happier Mom!

Medela's website is a great resource for nursing mother or expectant mother preparing to nurse their newborns.  You can learn all the wonderful benefits to breastfeeding or submit a question to a Board Certified Lactation Consultant.  I have found nursing to be such a wonderful bonding experience for me and my baby.  I'm not sure I could have done it without the wonderful products Medela offers and the support they provide.
