About: In 2009, Kroger and its family of stores sold an average of nearly 13,000 reusable shopping bags per day. As one of America ’s largest retailers, the Kroger Co. and its banner stores are committed to being responsible stewards of the environment. One of the ways that they are doing this is by continuing to encourage shoppers to use reusable shopping bags through their Design A Reusable Shopping Bag Contest.

www.designareusablebag.com where you can enter the 3rd Annual Kroger Reusable Shopping Bag Contest. You can design your own reusable grocery bag using Kroger’s easy-to-use design tool.
You can also vote for your favorite designs. From the top 10 designs, one grand prize winner will receive $1,000 and could potentially be sold in Kroger stores. Four finalists will receive $250 Kroger gift cards and five runners-up will receive $100 Kroger gift cards. Every Shopper’s Card holder who submits a design will receive a credit for a
FREE reusable shopping bag ($0.99 value, expires 30 days from when you submit your design).
Review: There are already over
22,000 bag designs so get your creative caps on! It was so easy to create a canvas bag. You can choose from pre-made borders, backgrounds or add your own photos. You can add text, stickies or maybe have your kids draw on the bag using the paint tool. I choose to use a graphic in their database and add my own text. If you don't like your design you can clear your "canvas" and start over.
When you click on submit my bag design you will be asked for some information. This will be displayed along with your bag design on the voting page. You will also be able to edit your information later on the "View My Designs page". Your design will not be posted immediately as all designs are reviewed and could take up to two days to post.

Buy it: Kroger has partnered with Cafe Press so customers can purchase their design on a reusable canvas bag. The canvas bag can be purchased for $12.99. My shipping was $5.25 from Cafe Press and the turn around time was pretty fast. I am very happy with the completed product. The straps are long making it comfortable to carry the bag on your shoulder. It's a sturdy canvas and the graphic looks great on the tote.
